Over the last three years, you've campaigned tirelessly to help us achieve something life-changing: a dedicated Global Goal for
water and sanitation.

On 25 September that ambition became a reality.

World leaders met at the United Nations General Assembly and committed to 17 Global Goals – on issues including health, hunger and education – with the aim of ending extreme poverty, fighting inequality and injustice, and fixing climate change.

Now that the goals are in place, they could change the future for all of us, and our planet. And of the 17 goals, #Goal6 is the one we've been fighting so hard for.

It’s dedicated to clean water and sanitation, which means that world leaders have acknowledged the critical role taps and toilets will play in eradicating poverty – for the first time ever.
