Did you know one in three people around the world still don't have access to a safe and private toilet?

At WaterAid, we’re determined to change this. We know that talking about toilets can be hard, so this term we’re using comedy to help the nation overcome their embarrassment and take action to provide everyone everywhere with toilets by 2030.

And we want your school to get involved to help us achieve this ambitious goal!

We want pupils all over the UK to write their own riddles, puns, knock knock jokes and tongue twisters about the humble loo.

Then get your local MP involved with our campaign by sending or tweeting the jokes using the hashtags #ItsNoJoke and #WorldToiletDay – alongside the serious facts about the global sanitation crisis.

Or why not hold a comedy show at your school and ask for a small donation for WaterAid to attend?

Download the lesson plans and supporting resources below for a creative class on taps and toilets. You can also use them to celebrate World Toilet Day on 19 November by raising vital funds to build more taps and toilets around the world.
