Register your interest for the WASHTech webinar Tuesday 8 April, 12:00 GMT For communities without water and sanitation, new facilities are just the beginning. But if new services can’t be maintained by local people with support from governments, cheaply and easily, they will break down or be abandoned. To make sure our work provides lasting solutions we’ve been contributing to an EU-funded Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Technologies (WASHTech) project, to assess the long-term success of the technologies and services we use. The WASHTech project uses a specially-devised Technology Applicability Framework to address different aspects of sustainability and has been used to test 13 technologies across five countries: Burkina Faso, Uganda, Ghana, Tanzania and Nicaragua. The results are being used to help communities maintain and sustain their water and sanitation facilities. To find out more about our commitment to sustainability, take part in our webinar with the WASHTech team.
