Turning left over wine into water through a series of auctions has proven to be a winning formula, and 2006 was no exception.  

For the third consecutive year, Decanter, one of the world’s leading wine magazines, raised a fantastic £19,252 for WaterAid’s work in Burkina Faso, through several auctions of wine bottles left over from the 2006 Decanter World Wine Awards. Over the past three years Decanter’s wine auctions have raised a fantastic £68,897.61 for WaterAid.

The auctions, in association with Christie's, were held at Christie's auction rooms in London and at last November's Decanter Fine Wine Encounter.
