The Loo Queue petition was a display of solidarity with those who have been waiting their whole lives for a safe, clean place to go to the toilet.
By signing the petition you helped us call for action from the UK Government to address this injustice by committing to lifting 100 million people out of water and sanitation poverty by 2015.
Latrines and She-Pees: Use our loos!
WaterAid once again operated cool African-style latrines in Kings Meadow, as well as the famous female urinals, affectionately known as She-Pees.
The She-Pees and latrines are manned by a team of fantastic volunteers who collect donations, talk to people in the queue about our work and, most importantly, keep them nice and clean.
Our composting eco-san loos, provided by Natural Event, meanwhile, are another great service for the festival reveller.
Used in some of WaterAid's projects, these ingenious loos transform human waste into safe, effective fertiliser which boost crop yield and, therefore, a poor community's income.
WaterAid stand
The WaterAid stand just to the left of the Pyramid Stage is an ideal meeting point, so we hope you found time to come and say hello, get a cup of cool, fresh water and get a cool, fresh tattoo too!
The tattoos were designed exclusively for WaterAid by Lauren Laverne (top of page), Eliza Doolittle and Emmy the Great. Find out more here.
