We are committed to pioneering innovative, community-driven solutions to address WASH challenges in some of the most underserved and marginalized communities in India. Our mission extends beyond service delivery to empowering communities through fostering leadership, building local ownership of WASH solutions, and driving long-term sustainability.
Our unique operating model leverages partnerships with government institutions, civil society, and private sector stakeholders to achieve scalable impact. WaterAid India exists to ensure that no one is left behind in accessing clean water, improved sanitation, and hygiene, creating a healthier, equitable, and more sustainable future for all.
Our work leverages demonstration models, community-level advocacy, and collaboration with government bodies to scale impactful solutions and expand sustainable Water, sanitation and Hygiene services. With operations spanning 10 states, 40 districts, 1,245 villages and four towns/cities, WaterAid India reached over 12,00,000 individuals in 2023-24 through our WASH programs.
Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 6, we aim to ensure universal access to WASH services by 2030, fostering scalable innovations that positively impact millions of lives in India.
