WaterAid Nigeria works to reduce sector blockages through more efficient institutions, and empower citizens to demand their rights and participate in water, sanitation and hygiene decision making.

Sector strengthening
We work to increase investment in the sector through our engagements with the private sector, government, local philanthropies and development partners and promote individual support for WASH services.
Empowering citizens for improved WASH services
We empower communities and individuals individually and collectively to demand their rights to universal access to water, sanitation and hygiene services.
Supporting government to enact and implement policies and programmes
We collaborate with key sector actors to improve WASH governance and service delivery and advocate for conditions necessary to stimulate private sector engagement in the funding and implementation of strategic policies and programmes.
Organisational development
We strengthen staff and partner capacities, skills and knowledge to deliver the programme.
