Baseline for menstrual hygiene management in school in Kalaroa Paurashova under Satkhira district

The baseline study finds only one third of the sampled schools had separate toilet for girls. The toilet were functional but cleanliness, availability of water, soap and waste bin was the prime issues to address further. At school,‘Menstruation‘ has been discussed following text book topics but teachers had not been involved in supporting students to overcome difficulty during menstruation. Students therefore were hesitant to discuss their issues with teachers.
