Our partnership

A major producer of tissue paper, Sofidel's products include toilet paper, napkins, kitchen paper, handkerchiefs and tissues. 

Sofidel is an organisation with a strong belief in the importance of good sanitation and hygiene for well-being and dignity, and has always limited the use of water in its production processes. But in 2017, they expanded their commitment to social responsibility and sustainability by establishing a three-year partnership, working with us towards Global Goal Six - clean water and decent toilets for all.

Alongside a business strategy of supporting WaterAid's work worldwide, Sofidel employees also play a key role in the partnership, by taking part in fundraising and campaigning activities. 

This relationship shows how, together, corporations and NGOs can unite resources and expertise, making a real movement towards achieving the UN’s Global Goals – and lasting change.

The partnership was launched on World Water Day 2017, with a conference and a photo exhibition showcasing WaterAid's work in India, Nicaragua, Madagascar and Burkina Faso.
