Great news! Whether you’re going to be hosting a Game of Thrones party or whipping up a storm in the kitchen, your generosity is going to change lives. Make sure to let us know about your fundraising by shooting us an email and we’ll be in touch to support you on your journey. We also recommend reading our fundraising guide to get the ball rolling.
If you are planning to raise money online, create and share your Classy page. Share your page with friends and family, post it on social media and email it around at work. If you want to go one step further, use our template press release to try and secure some local press coverage.
We'd love to send you some WaterAid goodies to help you with your fundraising. We have a collection of resources, as well as sponsorship forms, leaflets and posters. Email us at [email protected] and we'll send them out to you.
If you've raised money on Classy your job is done! All the online donations made to your fundraising page are automatically transferred over to WaterAid and allocated to your total.
If you've raised money offline, you can send in your fundraising by making a bank transfer, sending us a check, or paying in your money over the phone.

Please also fill in a donation form with your name and details of your fundraising, and send it to us. Otherwise, we won’t know that the money is from you, and we won’t be able to thank you for your fundraising!

Gaming for good
From gaming marathons to streaming watch parties over on Twitch, there are lots of ways to do what you love to support clean water.
Do you have a birthday?
Do you have that big day coming up? Put those candles to use by raising funds for clean water! You can ask for donations in place of gifts, or throw a party and ask for donations at the door.
Host an event
Try your hand at putting on a movie night or music event, or keep it low-key with a summer barbeque, morning coffee or even a tailgating party. You could even ask local businesses to donate prizes for a raffle – after all, it’s for a good cause!
Give it up
Do you have any bad habits? Could you give it up! The key is to choose something difficult – our personal favorites include no coffee for a week or giving up your morning muffin for a month* (*we should mention that no-one likes this idea.)
Be adventurous
Bring out your inner daredevil! Keep it local with a sponsored head shave, skydive or dance-off, or venture further afield. Our previous fundraisers have traveled the world on tandem bikes, along rivers in canoes, and coast to coast on a unicycle.
Get crafty
Selling your homemade goods is a brilliant way of raising money. Over the years our supporters have raised thousands by selling jelly, cards, bath bombs and a handmade Outlander-themed quilt (#youhadtobethere)
Organize a collection
Ask your local store, church or community center if you can have a collection at the next big event, or host one in your workplace, school or on campus. We can supply you with resources and tips to make your collection a roaring success.
World Toilet Day
Save up all of your awesome fundraising ideas and make a big splash on World Toilet Day, held November, 19. Get all of your family and friends to wear blue for the day, host an event or do something totally original to celebrate the humble toilet.
