WaterAid Bangladesh in collaboration with International Training Network Centre, BUET (ITN-BUET) and International Water Association (IWA) Bangladesh are organising the international training and exposure visit 2022 on urban rainwater harvesting system. Rainwater harvesting system (RWHS) provides a cost-effective and practical nature-based solution to address the emerging water crisis due to climate change and rapid population growth in urban context. Many initiatives and programmes have recently been promoting rainwater harvesting systems in urban and industrial buildings. Practitioners, planners, academicians, industrialists, students, researchers, and policymakers working on water and environmental issues need to be sensitised and capacitated on rainwater harvesting systems to tackle the water crisis and ensure future water security.

This 4 day long international training and exposure visit will take place in International Training Network Centre, BUET (ITN-BUET) from 11-14 December 2022. Engineers, architects, environmentalists, industrialists, urban planners, academicians, policymakers and development practitioners from relevant field are eligible to apply for the training. Female and young professionals are encouraged to apply. Interested applicants are requested to apply by 26 November 2022.
