The Youth for SDG 6 platform’s first volunteer orientation workshop in Rangpur was held from 18-19 October 2019. This two-day workshop took place at the Rangpur RDRS auditorium with 80 youths from various educational institutions of Rangpur participating in a comprehensive orientation on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), campaigns, leadership and networking.

The platform is supported by a team of reputed and highly experienced professional advisory panel members from diverse backgrounds who strategically direct the platform. Two advisory panel members – Mr Sajid Amit, Country Director, Water.org and Mr Syed Habib Anwar Pasha, Chairperson, Department of Business Administration, Eastern University, facilitated sessions on leadership and campaign at the workshop.

The workshop helped participants brainstorm innovative campaign ideas, develop campaign plans, map challenges and solutions, and explore their role as catalysts to bring change and realise SDG 6 targets. Participants left the workshop inspired to roll out their campaign plans, join with more youth in their institutes, and connect to local communities to help achieve SDG 6 through grassroots action.
