At WaterAid Tanzania, our work is closely aligned with the wider WASH sector. We combine our programmatic work with policy and influencing work to make sustainable change on a large scale. 

Inclusive rural WASH

We use the District Wide Approach (DWA) to take our rural WASH programmes to scale, which focus on improving sustainability, hygiene behaviours and WASH in institutions.

Inclusive urban WASH

We partner with the private sector, utilities and municipalities to improve the quality of urban WASH services. Our work includes sanitation marketing and WASH planning.

Climate change resilient WASH

Climate change is increasing weather-related events, such as flooding and droughts. We are deepening our expertise in this area to ensure our interventions are resilient.
