The Just Water challenge
After the over-indulgence of the festive season, January is the perfect time to give your body a fresh start!
Plus, getting sponsored for this challenge means the benefits will extend far beyond just you – you'll help us reach the 1 in 10 people around the world who don't have access to clean water. Are you in?
Not quite convinced yet? Here are three good reasons to join us:
Take it on as a team
Get your friends, family or colleagues involved and take on Just Water as a team. You could make the challenge more manageable by splitting up the month between you, or you could all do the full four weeks and raise even more sponsorship! It's up to you – just make sure everyone in your team signs up.
What your money will do
A quarter of all healthcare facilities around the world have no basic water facilities.
Without this essential resource, there's no way for medics to wash their hands between patients. No way for staff to clean wards or equipment. And no way of keeping life-threatening infections at bay.
In clinics like the one in Napacala, a remote community in northern Mozambique, nurses like Maria and her team go above and beyond to care for their patients. But, no matter how dedicated they are, the reality is that without clean water, their every effort to heal risks bringing harm.
By taking on Just Water, you're helping us reach health centres – in Mozambique, and around the world – with life-saving clean water.
We’ll lay new pipes, and repair broken ones. We’ll build sanitary blocks, and install permanent handwashing facilities. And we’ll support communities to understand – and fight for – their rights to clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.

Please note: for most people drinking more water can only be a good thing, but if you're worried about how it might affect you then please consult your doctor.
