Join thousands of riders on the capital's biggest closed-road cycling event, taking you from the heart of London to the rolling lanes of Essex – and back again!

The RideLondon-Essex 100 is a unique opportunity to ride 100 miles on traffic-free roads, through the heart of London and out into neighbouring Essex.

Starting on Victoria Embankment and finishing at Tower Bridge, the ride will take you through Epping Forest and past some of Essex's most picturesque villages – including a section of the 2014 Tour de France route.

Join us – and together we can make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene a normal part of daily life, for everyone, everywhere.

How we'll help

To help support all our cyclists in the lead up to the challenge, we’ve teamed up with the experts at RunningWithUs to provide you with a special training package. As a member of our team you’ll receive:

  • Cycling training guides, suitable for your level of experience
  • Training and pysio guidance from expert coaches
  • Email helpline – ask a coach or physio your training, race, nutrition or injury questions
  • Twitter and Facebook ask-the-coach services and webinar sessions
  • WaterAid cycling jersey to wear with pride!

We also provide a fundraising pack to help you meet your targets, fundraising and event resources like balloons, collecting tins and banners (upon request) and regular newsletters with support and advice from our dedicated WaterAid events team.

If you have any questions, or would like to chat about joining Team WaterAid, please get in touch.

Use our downloadable training guides, developed by coaches at RunningWithUs, to prepare for your ride.

Congratulations on securing your own place for RideLondon100 – we'd love to have you on board!

To join Team WaterAid you can either email us on [email protected] to let us know you’d like to join our team, or you can set up an online fundraising page on JustGiving. They'll tell us you’re fundraising for WaterAid, and we’ll get in touch to say thank you and send you a fundraising pack.

If you’ve registered for a charity place or got your own place in any of our events, you'll receive your very own WaterAid cycling jersey a few weeks before the race.

If you're taking on a different event for WaterAid and would like us to send you a vest or jersey, please contact us at [email protected].

Absolutely! If you have already been successful in the ballot, we’ll refund your registration fee as long as use your ballot place to ride for WaterAid.

If you get a place on the WaterAid team we ask that you commit to raising £395. It might sound like a lot, but we'll be on hand with loads of tips and support to help you reach it – you'll get there in no time!

If you have your own place and decide to ride for WaterAid, there's no minimum sponsorship amount.

We've teamed up with leading sport and training coaches RunningWithUs to provide expert training plans, tips and advice.

We have bespoke training plans, put together by RunningWithUs, and you'll get direct access to the expertise of our professional coaches. Whether you’re brand new to cycling a seasoned cyclist, we have a training plan to help you. If you have any specific training questions, you can contact RunningWithUs directly by emailing [email protected].

We're really sorry to hear that – please contact our events team at [email protected] to let us know you won’t be taking part.

You’ve come to the right place! Check out our fundraising ideas, and learn more about what we do – and why.

Once you’ve registered, we’ll also send you a fundraising guide as part of your welcome pack. This has lots of great tips to get you off to a flying start!

If you've raised money on JustGiving, your job is done! All the online donations made to your fundraising page are automatically transferred over to WaterAid and allocated to your total.

If you've raised money offline, you can send in your fundraising by making a bank transfer, sending us a cheque, or paying in your money over the phone.
