We’re launching a new partnership with Smoked & Uncut and Belu, taking our wonderful volunteer teams to four weekend festivals over the summer – and we’d love for you to join us!

Each mini festival takes place in the grounds of a different Pig Hotel, featuring local food and drink, some big name chefs, and live music from the likes of Lulu, Jools Holland and Supergrass.

Volunteer with us

We’d really love to welcome back some of our long-standing supporters to join us for a weekend, but this is also the perfect opportunity if you’ve not volunteered with us before, or if you’re not such a fan of festival camping!

Smoked & Uncut events will be much smaller than most of our festivals, with a more relaxed pace. And if you can’t commit to a whole weekend, or don’t want to camp, you can choose to volunteer for just the Saturday (arriving by 10am and leaving no later than midnight).

We still have some places available at the Pig at Bridge Place in Kent – apply now to join us for either a single day or the full weekend!

WaterAid at Smoked & Uncut

Along with our friends at Belu, we'll be running water bars to help festivalgoers stay happy and hydrated. We'll also be keeping the glamping site, main arena and festival toilets clean and tidy.

WaterAid volunteers staff a refill kiosk at Glastonbury Festival, June 2019.

Whatever role you take on, you'll also be speaking to festivalgoers about our work and spreading the word about the life-changing power of clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.

As we'll be a small team of volunteers, we won't have a formal WaterAid campsite, but will be pitching our tents in a dedicated on-site area, close to showers and toilets.

We're only able to camp on Friday and Saturday nights, and you'll need to leave the site straight after your shift on Sunday morning.

We'll be reserving a WaterAid area in a local campsite (20-30 minutes' walk from the site), for Friday and Saturday nights only.

If you're volunteering for the Saturday only, you’re welcome to join weekend volunteers at the campsite, but you’ll need to book and pay for this yourself – get in touch with us and we can share the details with you.

Of course, if camping’s really not for you, you’re welcome to find your own local accommodation too! Please email us on [email protected] to let us know if this is what you'll be doing.

NB: we don't have any weekend opportunities at Brockenhurst, so we won't be able to provide a campsite here.
